Introduction

This course provides advanced studies in epidemiology and biostatistics specifically designed to broaden the knowledge, competence, research and analytical skills of those currently working in the health or related fields with combination of epidemiologyand biostatistics units offered together with a dissertation undertaken in a public health related area.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A bachelor degree plus two years of relevant post-bachelor degree work experience. Work experience is assessed on the basis of - level of seniority and responsibility, job description, work based referee report, publications or other written reports and short courses or conference attendance.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This fee-paying course is three semesters full-time or equivalent part-time study. External study is also available.

Intermediate Awards I

A student who has successfully completed the requirements of an approved intermediate award, may apply for graduation in that award subject to approval of the Head of School/Department. Fees apply. Intermediate awards approved for this course appear below.
