Tutorial: 1 x 1 Hours Weekly

Syllabus: Allows students to explore what community service means to them and to those around them, and to develop their leadership skills through reflection. It is also designed to give students an appreciation of various social and political issues within Australia. In previous years, students have taken part in projects that include bush regeneration in rural areas, working with Aboriginal children in a remote desert community at Laverton, reading and conversing with seniors, training socially deprived children to use the Internet, and helping disabled athletes with their weight training. This unit is largely taught through hands-on community service experience.

** To ensure that the most up-to-date information about unit references, texts and outcomes appears, they will be provided in your unit outline prior to commencement. **
