Syllabus: Development of basic physiotherapy competencies in using research to enhance evidence based practice. Practical skills in research project planning and data collection are covered for typical physiotherapy research methods (phenomenological, small time series, sequential clinical trials, survey, factorial and repeated measures designed). Case studies are used to consolidate and motivate student learning and include the examination of ethical issues. Clinical experience in a variety of clinical settings is provided.
