Syllabus: Principles of disease processes- causes, medical procedures, cell injury, inflammation and tissue repair, abnormal growth patterns. Roles of the blood cells and immune system in disease. Cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urinary and nervous system diseases - nutritional and metabolic diseases, musculoskeletal and connective tissue disorders.
