Soils - revision, landcare, soils of Western Australia. Description, classification and mapping - survey technique. Soil variability and problem soils. Physics of soil water movement. Ecological aspects of land use, multiple and conservative use. Productivity and stability in land use systems. Land use planning, suitability, capability and evaluation.
