307310 v.1 Strategic Economic Analysis and Electronic Commerce Double Major

Introduction

This double major provides a broad understanding of the modern business environment. Strategic economic analysis provides both an analytical framework and a number of practical applications for understanding interactions between parties with conflictinginterests who must work together. Such interactions are becoming an increasing focus in the business environment. Examples include - the design of processes for corporate governance, the role of strategic alliances among businesses, the development of cooperative regimes for industrial relations and the pursuit of more constructive cooperation between business and government. The combination of Electronic Commerce and Strategic Economic Analysis is particularly valuable for students who want to work in a technologically focused business environment. Training in Electronic Commerce and Strategic Analysis is ideal preparation for employment in positions as business analysts or management consultants. Graduates are eligible for Associate Professional Membership of the Economic Society of Australia (Western Australian Branch).
