Bioavailability of selected vitamins and minerals. Function, absorption, transport, retention and excretion of trace and ultratrace elements. Nutrient - nutrient interactions. Role of trace and ultratrace elements in antioxidant protection. Vitamin and mineral supplementation - hazards and appropriate uses. Investigation into foods for which sensational claims are made.
