Physics of remote sensing with application to geology, spectral properties of soils, rocks, vegetation and water in visible, IR and microwave regions, soil conductivity and moisture dependence, pre dawn and post sunset IR geological imagery, radar backscatter from soil and canopy, SAR and image interpretation, LANDSAT MSS and thematic mapper instruments, image interpretation and application, case studies. Airborne platforms, multispectral scanners, image destriping, applications, case studies.
