General palaeontological concepts and principles, general taxonomy. Theory of evolution and ecological adaptation, a survey of influence of environmental and geographical factors on distribution of fossils - systematic palaeontology of various invertebrate groups. Micropalaeontology - its application in basin studies. Applications of palaeontology to sedimentation, stratigraphy and stratigraphic correlation.
