Overview of the processes used for extraction of the metal with Australian examples. Trends and forecasts in metal extraction. Theoretical aspects of Pyrometallurgy. Thermodynamic Principles of Metal Reduction. Flash Furnace Process - overview and modelling. Blast Furnace Process - overview and modeling.
