Study of narrative as a genre through the reading of various narrative texts - short and long prose, fiction, including popular sub-genres such as fantasy fiction, science fiction or detective fiction, film and historical narratives. The theory, structures and history of the genre, the relationship to cultural change. The contexts of modernity and postmodernity in contemporary texts.
