The course is intended to complement students' major degree courses and is tailored to vocational needs. It includes - principles of effective communication, principles of correct usage, principles of sound argument, study and notetaking skills, writing of journal articles, decimal notation, principles of report writing, oral presentations, preparation of summaries and precis, business letters and resumes, library research skills, principles of correct citation, referencing and bibliography.
