Simple harmonic motion and moments of inertia of complex bodies. Power transfer systems including Hooke's joints, belt drives, friction clutches, simple and compound gear train analysis and epicyclic gears. Balancing of rotating masses - static and dynamic balance. Field balancing of rigid rotors. Engine balancing including multicylinder inline and V-engines.
