Thermodynamic charts, vertical stability, icing. Equations governing motion of atmospheres. Classes of solution. Numerical meteorology. Surfaces of discontinuity. Frontogenesis and frontolysis. Turbulence. Jet streams. Tropical systems. Local phenomenafor example, katabatic winds, sea breezes, fog and pollution. Regular map work.
