307646 v.1 Mathematics Specialisation Stream (Security Technology)

Introduction
This stream provides Security Technology graduates with both a general security background and specialist mathematics knowledge and skills. These graduates will be in a position to provide specialist mathematical related security advice to organisations and/or undertake research in security related areas such as - data management and statistics, risk analysis and risk minimisation, system, and process optimisation, and cryptography. Students interested in security and applied mathematics will find this stream challenging, interesting and rewarding.

Special Note
The second, third and fourth year of the course is under construction with information progressively available during 2004. Prospective students should consult the course coordinator to determine appropriate unit progression.
