Introduction
This course provides graduates with the necessary skills to obtain informed opinions from a variety of sources and apply them to their own clinical practice. Utilising case scenarios based on practical problems, students will be encouraged to tackle real problems facilitated by the tutor and supported by course materials. An analysis of true practice demographics will provide the theory necessary to allow each student to solve real problems specific to their local circumstances. Professional skills including practitioner research and discerning reading will underpin this program.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
A bachelors degree, or equivalent, in Podiatry or Chiropody from a recognised tertiary institution, a good academic record together with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience. Numbers are restricted and selection will be made on the basis of academic record, experience and demonstrated commitment to continuing education.

Duration and Availability
This fee paying course is one semester full-time or equivalent part-time study. All units are offered each year in part-time distance education mode only with a student taking up to four years to complete.

Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
