Not For Degree - Formal Exchange Programs

Introduction

Opportunities are offered at Curtin to students from abroad to undertake studies for credit to their degree at their home university but not take a degree from this University. Students participate through formally negotiated study exchange arrangements between this University and partner universities abroad. Students applying through exchange partners pay tuition to their home institution.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

To be eligible to study at Curtin through its study abroad programs applicants must have successfully completed at least one year of study at a recognised university or college, and have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.75 on a four point scale (or an approved equivalent), and demonstrate academic support from the home university or college, and meet English Language Requirements as shown at http://studyabroad.curtin.edu.au/studyab/englang.htm

Duration and Availability

One semester up to one academic year commencing at the beginning of each semester.

Additional Course Expenses

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.

Further Information

Further information can be obtained at http:/studyabroad.curtin.edu.au/

Special Note

Currently enrolled Curtin students may also participate in study exchange and go abroad. Such studies are undertaken as part of their degree and are negotiated for credit. Further information is available at http://studyabroad.curtin.edu.au/outbound/outbound.html
