Syllabus: | This unit builds on the foundations of biochemistry and molecular biology taught in second year and reflects a rapidly developing area of science which is at the crossroads of the biological, computational and chemical sciences. It has a strong focus on developing students' practical and analytical skills and for them to be competent in bioinformatics. |
Further Information: | Many of the lectures and practical sessions will be delivered by researchers from the Department of Environment and Agriculture to provide an introduction to real-world research in genetics and biochemistry. |
