STRP-ICNUG v.1 Intensive Care Nursing Stream (GDip ClinNurs)

Students studying the Intensive Care Nursing Stream will cover all areas of general and surgical intensive care. Typically students will be registered nurses working in a level II - III Australian Council on Healthcare Standards classified intensive care unit where they will combine theoretical aspects of applied clinical sciences in a practice focused program, whilst caring for patients requiring multiple organ system support. The focus is on the needs of adult patients who face life threatening health disorders and may have various underlying health problems as a result of both acute and chronic disorders.
