This double major is designed for those intending to become professional accountants, and to specialise in Chinese business and related areas. It provides a good foundation for those entering the accounting profession who wish to have knowledge and understanding of Chinese language (Mandarin), culture, and business practices. It is recognised as being acceptable for Associate membership of CPA Australia and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) and entry to the ICAA graduate program.

* Either of the two third year Chinese units can be cross-credited with a comparable study programme completed in China (at least 48 hours of Chinese language/cultural learning), which should take place sometime in the third year of study.
