Syllabus: Basic chemistry and structure of cells and biomolecules. Design& configuration of bioreactors including scale up and scale down. cell cultivation and growth kinetics. Immobilisation and suspension methods for producing cells or biomolecules. instrumentation and control, sterilisation of process fluids. recovering and purifying products from a bioprocess. Industrial examples of bioprocessing and bioproduction.
