Major/Stream Overview

This major provides a foundation in the core principles of economics as well as intermediate units in microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and economic policy. Students will gain an understanding of economic relationships and the tools of analysis to understand today’s economic problems. It will appeal to graduate students who are working in areas of applied economics and is particularly suitable for careers in private business, the public sector, teaching, banking and consulting.


Intermediate Awards

A student who has successfully completed the requirements of an approved intermediate award may apply for graduation in that award subject to approval of Head of School/Department. Fees apply. Intermediate awards approved for this course:
