Syllabus:

The making of Australian society - historical evolution of a distinctive society. Special emphasis will be given to either the nineteenth or twentieth century or to particular themes such as the impact of war on Australian society. The response of Australians socially and politically to booms and depressions. Australian national character, plus a major research paper.
