Syllabus:

Introduction of QuarkXpress, a graphics software publishing program. Lectures, demonstrations and studio tutorial sessions cover the fundamentals of page layout design and how to prepare these for prepress. Two-dimensional designers need to be able to design work that can be produced commercially. Covers current industry standards in graphic software use, print research and design application. This is a component of Visual Communication Technology 291, which is compulsory for year two students in the Visual Communication stream.
