Syllabus:

This unit focuses on systems thinking in a futures context. As a methodology, soft systems thinking can be applied to a range of circumstances and this unit gives students the theoretical background as well as the opportunity for practical application toa project of their choice. With the objective of bringing about agreement on a way forward out of a problematic situation, students will be instructed in a set of techniques that lead to learning more about a situation through using conceptual thinking, modelling and discussion.
