Syllabus:

Sociology of family issues. Drawn from the following areas: theories of the family and intimate human relationships, family cycles, rites of passage and life point transitions in different social, economic and cultural contexts, birth and early childhood, adolescence, adulthood, old age, death and dying, the state and the family, plus a major research paper.
