Syllabus:

Spread spectrum techniques, direct sequence, frequency hopping, synchronisation and application examples. Characterisation of receiver system, noise figure and intermodulation products. Communication networks and services, multiplexing techniques, circuit switching and modern telephone network, peer-to-peer protocols and data link controls, transfer information across shared media using LANs and wireless networks, packet switching networks, TCP/IP and ATM networks.
