Introduction

This professional masters program is designed for business information systems or information technology professionals who recognise the need to increase their knowledge or skills in the planning, development, application and management of information technology and innovation in competitive, global business environments. This program incorporates a range of new concepts, methodologies and technologies aimed at supporting organisations in achieving corporative objectives with leading edge technologies.

Course Organisation

The Master of Information Technology consists of 12 units of study. The core areas studied include managing information systems projects and risks, web application and architecture, data mining and advanced database management, enterprise network management, systems development methodologies and problem solving.

Professional Recognition

With a prior computing-related degree graduates may apply for membership of the Australian Computer Society.

Career Opportunities

Postgraduates generally find employment in supervisory and management roles within private and public organisations utilizing information technology, or design and development of IT systems.
