Introduction

This major develops sophisticated, critical and conceptual skills in understanding and evaluating the media and information institutions of our world - analysing film, radio, television, print, the Internet and the convergence of all these media forms. It answers key questions that confront media-saturated societies, understanding globalisation, media corporations and the impact of information and communication technologies in the digital world. Critical analysis and the application of ideas to real opportunities. To complete the major, students undertake units in Media Studies leading to Bachelor of Arts (Media Studies).
