Introduction

This course provides a professional award for graduates in medical science or related areas interested in transfusion science. It develops an understanding of the latest developments in transfusion science as well as undertaking an extensive review of the literature and carrying out a supervised research project. It also provides the opportunity to take coursework units from other disciplines, eg computing or business.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

An approved undergraduate degree in medical science or a related area, with at least two years relevant work experience.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This fee-paying course is three semesters full-time or equivalent part-time study.

Intermediate Awards I

A student who has successfully completed the requirements of an approved intermediate award may apply for graduation in that award subject to approval of the Head of School/Department. Fees apply. Intermediate awards approved for this course appear below.

Intermediate Awards II

Postgraduate Diploma in Biomedical Science.

Additional Course Expenses
