Syllabus: Introduction of the notion of the teacher as researcher through a focus on the learner. Different learning approaches of children and their different intelligence profiles. How teachers can support particular learning styles and patterns through the use of appropriate teaching, learning, and assessment strategies. The diversity of individuals with respect to developmental domains. Development of strategies for catering for all domains. The role of a supportive, engaging and empowering learning environment in maximizing the learning of all students. Planning and implementation of effective lessons based on clear, detailed and assessable learning objectives.
