Syllabus: Partly field based covering current theories on the genesis of Archean greenstone belts. Ore deposits to be investigated in detail include peridotite-hosted nickel deposits, volcanic-hosted stratiform Cu-Zn deposits, orogenic (mesothermal) gold deposits,and lateritic deposits of Ni, Co and Au.
