Lecture: 1 x 2 Hours Weekly
Syllabus: Celestial mechanics: two-body system, three-body system, applications to the solar system, N-body systems, general perturbations, gravitational encounters, sphere of influence, applications to globular clusters and galaxies. Supernovae and gravitationallensing - type I and type II supernova (SN), macro and microlensing. Astrophysics of galaxies: our galaxy, orbits of stars, the local group, spiral galaxies and elliptical galaxies. Cosmology and general relativity - Hubble's law, general relativity and Friedmann-Robertson-Walker models.
