Practical: 1 x 3 Hours Weekly
Syllabus: To provide students with a practical, short-term internship in some aspect of professional art practice. With Head of Department approval, students can undertake a project under the direction of a professional artist or arts administrator for a four week period. Each project will be individually tailored to the student's interests based on the nature of the activity undertaken by the arts professional. Professional practicum can be undertaken once throughout the degree program in place of any second or third year visual research unit. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that agreement with all parties involved is resolved prior to the start of the semester in which the practicum is enrolled. Subsequent reports must be completed and assessments available for the end of semester examination period.
