Syllabus:	The unit covers the functions of intranets and enterprise portals and their effect on the communication of information within an organisation. It explores the issues involved in the evaluation, selection and implementation of electronic document management and records systems. It also covers the effect of information technologies on corporate processes and culture, techniques for the organisation and indexing of records and documents as well as the extensive practical use of a number of different products.
