Syllabus: The structure and function of components in the bacterial cell. Immunology and immunity. Virology: viral structure, replication of human viruses and bacteriophage, significant properties, pathogenesis, role of immunological products in prophylaxis, therapy and diagnosis for a variety of bacterial, viral and fungal pathogens.
