Syllabus: Scope of remote sensing. Physical base of remote sensing. Satellite and airborne sensor systems. Image statistics, display, pre-processing. Rectification of digital landsat imagery. Image enhancement, spectral and spatial filtering. Thematic information extraction, classification and acuracy assessment and change detection. Hyperspectral and radar sensors. Selecting a remote sensing system for application.
