Introduction

Completion of this major will provide students with the ability to communicate in Korean culture. The focus of the major is the Korean language. The major also provides an insight into the social frameworks, political structures and religions of Korean culture. To successfully complete this major, students are required to complete two core units, six optional units, and eight Korean language units. Students commence with either Korean 111, or a more advanced unit depending on their communicative ability,and after consultation with the Korean teaching staff. Students enrolled in the double degree with commerce are strongly recommended to complete Asian Business Cultures 250 as an option.
