Syllabus: Advanced study of clinical classification of diseases and procedures utilising the International Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, tenth edition, Australian modification (ICD-10-AM). Clinical classification of diseases and procedures utilising ICD-9-CM. Advanced use of encoder and grouper. Alternative classification systems and nomenclatures. Study and use of Australian coding benchmarking audit and data quality.
