Syllabus: Successful completion of this unit will enable students to demonstrate improved and expanded understanding of teaching strategies as they pertain to higher education in Australia. It will assist participants to determine teaching and learning needs of students in tertiary settings including program development, implementation and assessment of student learning. The unit will also focus on approaches to lifelong learning, philosophies of adult education, pedagogy and andragogy and implications of learning theory in higher education settings.
