Tutorial: 1 x 4 Hours Weekly
Syllabus: This unit provides the knowledge and skills to apply basic principles of law, ethics, hazard identification and accident investigation to the workplace. An introduction to the occupational health and safety professions. General awareness of hazards, risk, occupational health and safety law, and hazard management. Study of the importance of health and safety and the focus of a multidisciplinary approach. Report writing, research and oral presentation skills. Experience to include routine inspections of workplaces and submission of reports.
