Prerequisite(s): 10940 (v.3) WASM Resource Sector Finance 601 or any previous version
Syllabus: Students will be provided with a framework to assist with the estimation of capital and operating costs for preliminary financial modelling and evaluation of mining projects. This will include order of magnitude estimates, top-down modelling of aggregated component costs using empirical cost-throughout curves, and bottom-up estimation of disaggregated component costs from mine plans. A revision of discounted cash flow evaluation techniques will also be carried out.
