309647 v.2 Indonesian Double Degree Major

Introduction

Completion of this major will provide students with the ability to communicate in Indonesian societies, with a focus on Bahasa Indonesia. The major also provides an insight into the social frameworks, political structures and religions of Indonesian cultures. To successfully complete this major, students are required to complete two core units, six optional units, and eight Indonesian language units. Students commence with Indonesian 111, or a more advanced unit depending on their communicative ability, and after consultation with the Indonesian teaching staff. Students enrolled in the double degree with commerce are strongly recommended to complete Asian Business Cultures 250 as an option.
