Syllabus:	A general introduction into contemporary culture. Examination of recent examples of popular literature, film or music and theories of modernism and postmodernism in relation to contemporary cultural practices. Develops an understanding of what constitutes discipline knowledge and how it can be applied. The student will also gain the ability to think critically, creatively and reflectively.
