Syllabus: The concept of culture, contemporary indigenous cultures and local indigenous ways including communication practices, values, beliefs and attitudes. Indigenous identity, diversity and representation. Tensions between indigenous ways and community management, development and primary health care practices and skills for working in culturally appropriate and empowering ways. The conceptual framework of, and consultative practices associated with the development of Aboriginal terms of reference.
