Syllabus: Advanced psychotherapy skills and concepts required for working with complex client populations. Unconscious processes in therapy such as ruptures in the therapeutic alliance, transference and countertransference, projection, empathic attunement, parallel processes, and defenses. Adapting treatment models and processes to 'fit' the personality structure and/or psychopathology of the client.
