Syllabus: Provides an opportunity for participants to develop all aspects of their competence as psychological therapists. The unit has three main components - a theoretical component in which core principles of the psychotherapy process are introduced and discussed and in which research on the components of effective therapy is reviewed, skills development component in which the application of psychotherapy processes are modelled, criticised, and rehearsed and a supervision component in which videotapes of participants' psychotherapy sessions are reviewed.
