Mathematical logics for computing and their application. The concept of an algorithm and heuristic. Some fundamental algorithms, searching, sorting. Algorithmic complexity. Time/memory algorithmic classes. The Church-Turing Hypothesis. Concept of a computational model. Some common models, communicating sequential processes, procedural, functional, logic. Programming paradigms. Data structures. Concepts of execution, binding.
