Introduction

Caters for two categories of students - those with a background in specific fields relating to building, such as architecture, building, quantity surveying and engineering and those intending to further study, and those from allied disciplines such as economics, management and psychology and those intending to develop a suitable cross-disciplinary expertise linking an initial discipline with the field of building studies.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

An appropriate bachelors degree and a minimum of three years relevant work experience OR a minimum of five years relevant management experience.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Students' background study determines the level of prior learning awarded. Those with a suitable first degree of four years duration or longer, with first-class or upper second-class honours, or applicants with a proven record of research or appropriatehigh level professional work in the chosen field of study may be awarded credit to a maximum of one year.

Duration and Availability

This fee paying course is of two years full-time duration or equivalent part-time.
