GradDipBnkFin(Curtin)

Course CRICOS Code: 014174G
Registered full-time Duration for International Onshore Students on student visas: 1 Year

Introduction

This course is designed for students whose undergraduate degree is in a field other than banking and finance and who wish to develop an understanding of the basic functional areas of business management, banking and finance. Where a student has an undergraduate degree in business, commerce or economics, the course may be structured so that the student builds upon their undergraduate knowledge by focusing more towards banking and finance subjects.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution or equivalent qualification plus a minimum of one year of relevant work experience. Students who have a longer period of relevant work experience may receive preference in admission.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis. If equivalent core units have been completed in a first degree, students will be given a waiver for those units, and will be required to complete further optional units.

Duration and Availability

This course is of one year full-time or equivalent part-time study. The part-time duration can be shortened by students taking summer school courses in economics and finance, providing they are available through the Master of Business Administration Summer School.

Additional Course Expenses

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials.
